1st Offender: Penalties For Transporting Child Under The Age Of 16

If this is your first offense for DUI and at the time that you were charged, one or more children under the age of 16 were present in the vehicle, then you are subject to 6 months of imprisonment, an additional mandatory minimum fine of $1000 and 25 days of community service in a program benefiting children.
