Thomas L. Murphy

Thomas L. Murphy is a Senior Associate Attorney at Mitchell S. Sexner & Associates LLC and a highly skilled litigator with more than 12 years of experience in both criminal and traffic matters. Over the course of his remarkable career, he has handled a wide variety of cases ranging from traffic violations and DUIs to the most serious of criminal offenses including Aggravated Battery and Manslaughter.

A lifelong Chicago-area native and Chicago sports fan, Mr. Murphy graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in History and earned his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, scoring in the top 5% of Illinois lawyers on his admissions
testing.

As a young attorney at a nationally recognized criminal law firm, Thomas learned the inner workings of the criminal system allowing him to sharpen his legal skills before turning his considerable talents towards defending those accused of criminal offenses. He practices not

Tom has also effectively argued to avoid imprisonment in some of the most serious gun and drug offenses in Illinois, allowing his clients a second chance at life.
